Dennis Richards is Lead Paint Management’s (LPM’s) Principal Consultant, and has over 45-years experience with regards to management of hazardous paint, in both industrial and residential/ commercial/ public building applications, with management of over 250 projects on his CV. Dennis satisfies all requires of an AS/NZS 4361.2 Independent Lead Specialist.
As lead writer for the Standards Australia committee which undertook the revision of AS/NZS 4361, in 2017, he was a key contributor to the final documents. Following a 36-year career with the South Australian Government, Dennis established a highly successful private consultancy in 2008 to provide asset management services to Government and private entities.
Dennis was a foundation member of the Australian Paint Approval Scheme (APAS), and was elected Chairman of the Board in 2007. He was also a foundation member of the technical committee supporting the Painting Contractors Certification Program (PCCP), and a long term assessor and member of the Chemical Testing Technical Group for the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA).
Dennis is an honorary member of the Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA) and a past president, and current Secretary, of the SA branch of the ACA.
